THREE OUT OF TEN people don't have safe access to drinking water. WASH provides services of good social and economic profitability in comparison with their costs, with a global average of the benefit cost ratio of 5.5 for improvement of sanitation and 2.2 for improved drinking water, because half of the people that live in Africa don't have drinking water.
